WhatsApp Working On Video Calling, QR Scanning, NFC Tag, Voicemail And More, Coming Very Soon

Upcoming features for WhatsApp video calling also includes support for QR scanning, NFC tagging, Voicemail and much more. First and foremost leak revealed that WhatsApp is adding video calling support, which were figured out in the leaked images released by a German website, that too in action on WhatsApp for Android, in December last year. Now, another image showing off something different, widely expected features in the coming days or weeks.

If this newly leaked screenshots are to anything to go, the video calling is also being tested for iOS WhatsApp users as part in beta version. According to the report surfaced from Android Police, users who help in translating WhatsApp to various languages have now received new strings to translate few things and those includes ‘Video Call’ modification. This feature is said to be accessible on some devices running WhatsApp beta app, but unfortunately, it isn’t yet been activated or reportedly require both the iOS and Android users to have the similar apps in beta.

Screenshot below gives you a better idea, though.

The translation strings suggesting that the WhatsApp seems to be working on another feature to “send group invites via links, QR codes and NFC tags”.

Taking that point into consideration, WhatsApp furthermore have a similar voicemail inclusion like the Facebook Messenger. If anyone doesn’t answer your calls, it’s likely that the app will ask them to leave a voice message. Done! You’ll now notice that your call wasn’t attended and the person (receiver) didn’t disconnect it. The same feature exists already in FB Messenger call.

Reportedly there will be some other added support for the Document sharing such as .Zip and .vcf (Contact card) sharing. And of course many more to be introduced once Facebook and WhatsApp announces anything new in the future.
