Windows 10 Final Release Date Announced By Microsoft

Current Windows users will be able to grab Windows 10 for free from July 29. Release date for PC and tablets has been officially announced. For a low price of absolutely nothing to pay, starting from 29th of July 2015, it is coming as a full and final release of Windows 10 upgrade to Windows 7, Windows 8.1 users for absolutely one year.


Microsoft will be rolling out Windows 10 two months from now, on July 29th. One of the most anticipated version of Windows, the OS has been teasing us with features and all, but Redmond-based software maker had shied away from putting a finger on the calender, with “coming soon” and a summer release being our only sources of hope.

Outed Windows 10 Insider Preview and announced that it will be released in 190 countries and in 111 languages worldwide. Microsoft detailed the different builds of Windows 10 it will be releasing, it was just yesterday when in a leak of information the would caught a glimpse of the price tag the new OS would be carrying. Further suggested that the OEM version of Windows 10 will be hitting vendors on the 31st of August.

There are over four million users running the Windows 10 Insider Preview, according to Terry Myerson who shares this news on the Windows Blog, “Through the feedback and testing of over four million Windows Insiders, we’ve made great progress on Windows 10 and we’re nearly ready to deliver this free upgrade to all of our Windows customers.

Although Microsoft is working on improving the product even further. Nevertheless, the software giant points out all those new features which will be giving Windows 10 users  a much needed deperture from the existing experience.


You will however get Cortana, an all-new browser called Microsoft Edge, touch OFfice apps, Xbox LIVE with integrated Xbox app, and new apps such as, Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, People, Mail, and Calendar. Also included will be Windows Continuum, Windows Hello, and the Windows Store. Microsoft offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 for customers running Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 if they upgrades within the first year after it is released.

Microsoft further adds: “On July 29, you can get Windows 10 for PCs and tablets by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer, or on a new Windows 10 PC from your favorite retailer.”

Reserve your Windows 10 upgrade via reservation process using Get Windows 10 app that shows a Windows icon automatically in your system tray. Once you reserved it, you will get a confirmation on your device, whether its compatible with Windows 10 or not, and when are you be able to snag your upgrade time and the files you need for the upgrade will be downloaded to your PC uatomatically, if you have already enabled it so, and finally, the installation of Windows 10 on your PC will go more quickly.

Click on the small Windows icon located at the lower right side of the taskbar and hit ‘Reserve your free upgrade‘ when prompted. You will get a notification when your upgrade is all-ready after July 29th and lets you get started with later.
