Xiaomi Mi5 Unveil Is Expected At Scheduled Product Launch Event On November 24

Next week Xiaomi is holding a new Mi hardware launch event in China, November 24th. Interested ones can purchase the entrance tickets – which are limited number of 500 and are priced at around $30 each – starting today. Apparently, we can hear a good news of Xiaomi Mi5 at the event or else an all-new product launch.

There’s no official word from Xiaomi on what exactly the event scheduled for. The Redmi Note 2 has recently visited TENAA, could reasonable to expect that the much-awaited Mi 5 flagship smartphone – although leaked numerous times into the worldwide web. Powered by Snpadragon 820 SoC, the handset also shown its face on Geekbench.

According to a MIUI forum post, the invitation for the new product launch was being circulated on Weibo, and it will be held at the China National Convention Center. For ticket booking – cost you CNY 199 (US $31 approximately).

If the rumors are to be believed, then the Xiaomi Mi 5 aka Gemini will see the sunlight of launch. Rumored specifications are given as it will feature a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD LCD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Sports a 16MP main camera and 13-megapixel selfie-centric snapper.

Geekbench listing confirms that the Mi 5 flagship smartphone will be coming with the power of a 64-bit Qualcomm S820 (MSM8996) processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The device will run the latest version of MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Xiaomi Gemini aka Mi 5 Rumoured Specifications


The upcoming Xiaomi Gemini (Mi5) has scored 2140 on Single Core and 4762 on Multi-core. It is said to be coming with a 3000mAh battery package and with the support of Qualcomm Quick Charge. Speculations has although played its part as claiming that the Mi 5 will sport a microUSB Type-C port and beneath the sensor it is equipped with fingerprint scanner and cost less than $400 in China.

For now, it’s unclear on what actually Xiaomi is holding this event, could go by announcing Redmi Note 2 Pro or Mi Pad 2 or the Xiaomi Mi5 (aka Gemini). Stay tuned on November 24 2015 for a big introduction of unknown product.
