Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime Spotted On US FCC Website

The newly leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime appears to be the first Xiaomi phone to launch in the US. Here are the details about it.

Now that the Redmi Note 5A Prime live images have been purportedly been spotted on the US FCC website, suggesting that the handset may launch in the lucrative market soon. If the smartphone did launch in the US, it will be the first company’s handset to go on sale in the country.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi smartphone looks nearly identical to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime. It will be the highest-end variant of the Note 5A, launched way back in August this year.

The hardware specs on the Redmi Note 5A Prime runs the latest MIUI 9 software based on Android Nougat out of the box. It has two SIM slots (Nano+Nano) with another dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion. It sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and under-the-hood, the Note 5A Prime is powered by Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU.

Other features internally includes optics, at front, the Note 5A Prime sports a 16-megapixel 76-degree wide-angle sensor with an independent soft light flash, 2/2.0 aperture, and a real-time beauty filters.

Unfortunately, there is no official statement by Xiaomi that it’s planning to launch its smartphones in the US, but advised to wait until they hear from the company before they jump to any conclusions. It will be more interesting to see how well the company performs in the US market, especially since it managed to ship an impressive number of 10 million phones globally in September.
