Xiaomi Rumored To Be Working On 500 Yuan Android Phone For China

Hinted by supply chain sources in Taiwan that Xiaomi aka known as China Apple are working on releasing a 500 yuan Android-powered smartphones in 2015. Although, Xiaomi already have Redmi 1s, Redmi Note in the affordable phone list, and now this newer one surfaces.

Xiaomi is however became the most popular seller of its smartphones in this year, and apparently managing to reach number 5 in the largest smartphone vendors in the world. In order to grab the place, releasing more and more new products than ever. Rumors are already in that their next launch, which could see yet another more affordable than ever.

According to the Taiwan supply chains, Xiaomi is currently working with BOE Technology to create an entry-level (low-cost) display for its upcoming Xiaomi Mi phone. Cost considerably less than the current Mi flagships and available at an even cheaper price range. Estimated retail price for the new Xiaomi phone tipped at 500 Yaun (approx $81).

This is not the first time we heard about a cheaper Xiaomi phone, already reports claimed that there’s a phone powered by 4G LTE processor from Chinese SoC manufacturers Leadcore, who Xiaomi recently funded in. Earlier today, Xiaomi also revealed its profits which are down on what many analysts had predicted with an overall profit margin of only 1.1%, Considerably less than the 28.7% Apple are reporting and 18.7% rival Samsung.

Apart this, Xiaomi in India banned for selling and importing smartphones recently, but now the Delhi High Court has lifted the ban for a limited time period.
