Xiaomi Unveils All-Metal Redmi Note 3 With 5.5-inch 1080p Display, Fingerprint Scanner

It’s now official, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 went live at the event in China on Tuesday and as expected brings with it first of its features to the all-new Redmi Note series.

It packs a 5.5-inch fullHD display at a resolution of (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS screen and 178-degree viewing angle. Under the hood the new Note is powered by an Octa-Core  MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU. Paired with 2GB of RAM and includes 16GB of internal storage, another variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory.

It runs on MIUI 7 based Android Lollipop out of the box and supports dual-SIM functionality, offering 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIMs and packs a massive 4000mAh battery.

It will be the first phone announced by Xiaomi, Redmi Note 3 has a full metal body and comes integrated with fingerprint sensor on the back and is just 8.65mm thick. It also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n ( 2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS.

Photograpgy department on Redmi Note 3 sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording, 120fps slow-motion and has a 5MP forward-facing shooter for better selfies with the help of f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording capabilities. Buyers can choose from Dark Grey, Silver and Champagne Gold colour options.

The 2GB RAM-powered Redmi Note 3 (16GB) is priced at 899 Yuan (US$ 140 / Rs. 9,340 approx.). For 3GB RAM-based Note 3 32GB ROM variant costs 1099 Yuan (US$ 172 / Rs. 11,415 approx.).


Starting November 27th, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will go on sale, available to purchase in China.
