Yalu1011 Jailbreak For iPhone 7 Coming Only With iOS 10.1.1 Support

Luca Todesco has confirmed that yalu1011 updated version of Yalu102 with support for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus coming, but it seems like it will only work on iOS 10.1.1 firmware.

Earlier it was the yalu102 iOS 10.2 jailbreak released for non-iPhone 7 64-bit devices and was expected soon to get full support for the original two recent models of Apple’s iPhone. Now that, Luca hasn’t given a release date, but it seems that it will work only on iOS 10.1.1, rather it is said coming with additional support for a new device, running a relatively stable solution, which isn’t definitely not a negative situation.

Remind you that now, yalu102 – in it’s 7th beta – is actually a relatively stable jailbreak in its current state supporting all devices on iOS 10.2 except Apple’s flagship devices. iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are the two devices supported by the previously released Mach_Portal+Yalu jailbreak solution on iOS 10.1.1, but that tool is very much aimed at developers only due to how buggy and unreliable the jailbreak is.

About Mach_Portal+Yalu jailbreak, it was of course capable of jailbreaking iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 10.1.1 as already stated, but this particular announcement essentially means that yalu102 will bring that same offering for said devices on iOS 10.1.1 because the exploits used for jailbreaking iOS 10.2 do not work on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

So it may not be a huge jump for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users, but nevertheless it does offer a jailbreak experience in an environment that is tried and tested, and is a lot more stable than the older Mach_Portal+Yalu jailbreak ever was, or ever will be.

Still not clear is whether yalu102 will be updated with support for it, or if Luca will release a special version of yalu102 name, but in his official tweet saying anything to go by, it will likely be the later.

What’s expected from this modern jailbreak landscape is unknown but the solution these days will keep everyone happy across all device types running all firmware versions, though. The likes of Todesco have consistently proven that they will go beyond if required bringing the best level of compatibility possible whilst continuing to explore the options to expand that offering.

For now, we know that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the only devices get a more stable public untethered jailbreak on iOS 10.1.1, likely under yalu1011 moniker. As always, we will keep up to date whenever this version or another jailbreak solution is out, stay tuned.
