ZTE Star 2 Passes Through TENAA To Get Certified [Detailed]

The Chinese certification agency today posted details on the upcoming ZTE’s flagship. The ZTE Star 2, which appeared in all its glory with photo from almost any angle. Now it appears that the manufacturer is still focusing to grab the premium market share.

The Star 2 specs page confirms that it will indeed goes with a Snapdragon 801 SoC, clocked at 2.5GHz CPU. Coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB ROM, the ZTE Star 2 features a 5.5-inch Hull HD resolution screen and will be launched with aluminum and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the ZTE’s skinned launcher on top. It measures 154 x 77 x 9.8 mm.

With two cameras on board, the handset sports an 8MP front-sensor and a 13-megapixel rear camera, expected to pose with Sony Sensor and allotted with dual-tone LED. The pictures show yet another module right beside the camera, which is interesting to see and which it is not exactly clear though, but can only guess would be that it s used for some kind of active focusing, similar to what the LG G3 laser focus tech used for.

Availability for the unannounced device is unknown, but the price tag is expected to be around CNY1,999 ($320), which sounds great for a flagship 4G smartphone.
